A few months ago Vasily Raskov, editor at Simple Wine News, the most important and influential wine magazine in Russia, invited some colleagues and wine professionals for a tasting of some vintages of Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino, from 1995 to 2011.
The selection was really wide: 25 bottles divided into 4 batches from well-known wineries, such as Casanova di Neri, Marchesi de' Frescobaldi, Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona and Banfi.
Our Brunello 2002 was part of the third group, in which it has been the most appreciated for its taste, complexity, balance, harmony and potential.
